Wonder Woman Takes Centre Stage at Character World

LEADING LICENSING BUSINESS, Character World has launched a new range of bedding featuring popular DC Comics superhero, Wonder Woman.

The Manchester-based international textiles business designed and produced single and double duvet sets inspired by the Wonder Woman movie, released in the UK on 2 June.

Wonder Woman is the fourth instalment in the DC Extended Universe and tells the story of how Diana, Princess of the Amazons, became Wonder Woman during World War One.

Tim Kilby, brand director at Character World, said:

“Wonder Woman is the latest in a string of successful live action superhero movies so the release of the film has been hotly anticipated. Wonder Woman is already well-loved after her live action debut in Batman vs Superman last year and we expect there to be a further increase in consumer demand for Wonder Woman products following the release of the new film.

“Our previous DC ranges have all been extremely popular with our consumers and we anticipate the Wonder Woman range will follow suit.

“The fun and eye-catching designs will be a great addition to any superhero fan’s bedroom.”

The new Wonder Woman range joins Character World’s large superhero licensing portfolio including Batman, Marvel’s Avengers, Spiderman, Captain America and Justice League.

Founded in 1998, Character World works with some of the world’s leading entertainment companies. It supplies retailers across the UK including Asda, Next, Tesco and John Lewis; as well as a range of major European retailers.

Palatine Private Equity backed Character World in a secondary management buyout in December 2014
